This is a top venue. Original menu. Dishes are well prepared and delicious. Great, well trained staff. Every time an immense pleasure to come here.
One of a fine dining in Nan. Food are delicious and the service is great. Definitely recommend!
October 2022: Remarkable. I ordered a Wagyu Sirloin, frozen skirt when I saw the sibling. It was incredibly well marbled, but I had doubts about how a 950 THB/100 gram steak could be defrosted, medium rarely served and still tender, economical. Well... it was. A steak normally needs to pat dry, seasoned with salt, pepper if you want, and rest at room temperature to make most taste from it to coax. I was pretty sure that the steak would be hard, chew or lack of taste... I was dead. Steak came near to rival that the charming steak I had in Lenzi Tuscan cuisine, and the incredible steak I had in New York Steakhouse, both in Bangkok. It was really good. 30~31 CM thick/ 1.25 inches, extensively marbled, only tender from the fork. I wouldn't believe it, but what I was served was delicious, plated and beautifully presented, accompanied by sautéed potatoes, and courtesy of the manager, accompanied by a delicious mushroom dish. My wife had Thai what was delicious, and we had the Quesadillas and soft taco (pork) appetizer. We added a delicious bottle of French Pinot Noir to accompany the meal We sat inside, ate a cozy meal, experienced delightful service. Above all, it exceeded our expectations. And the steak? A steak I'll compare with others. I was wrong to give the Gin Restaurant 2 stars this year. Unbelievable! Why the difference in the reviews? I found out that the restaurant in the late November mid-February Timframe is so much more busy, tourist season. Thay explains why it was packed with people and many menu items. January 2022: 2 stars... would have been better! At 19:00, basically, from pizza, from burgers, from pork taco appetizer, no cheese plate! My wife and I ate three Queensadilla appetizers and had a beer. It is clear that the restaurant preps entrees before opening, and does not order. We sat outside; the weather in Nan is incredibly pleasant (no recognizable humidity), but due to the layout of the restaurant, enter the moors at the end of the terrace, and everyone goes past your table, a few centimeters from your table. When the restaurant is busy as it was when I was my wife and I were at 19:00 on a Saturday night, it is a steady parade by passersby. Disturbing in times of Covid, and it is disturbing that people see what you eat, repeatedly as the walk through, talking, coughing, sneezing. As for the service, it's good. The Quesadillas were good, but, from the American southwest, they are not authentic. I guess canned chili and cheese, with chicken. I looked at the steaks we were able to see them (all were frozen), and the Wagyu Steaks were well marbled, but, as often found in Thailand, 13 centimeters thick; so thin it is impossible to do a steak justice. I have looked at the rib augen steaks, slightly 40 50 cm thick and considerable, but it was clear of coloring and frost burning in the sealed plastic that they have been in the freezer a few months. We went to the steak, calm down for the appetizers. Having said that, and with my limited experience with the restaurant, it seems to have a great potential; the chef apparently did not decide what he wants that the restaurant is an indication profit is satisfactory and mediocrity acceptable to him. Could be much better. I would consider drinks and appetizers here, but given the fact that many menu items were simply not available, I would have given a second restaurant in the sense of Entrees Gin Restaurant inability to support his menu... false advertising! My wife loved the Quesadillas; I thought they were okay. I drank Singha beer from Budweiser beer glasses, but it wasn't on me that Budweiser wasn't on the menu. Would I eat here again? Maybe a second chance. I was disappointed with the experience of my first visit.
I could say very delicious to this restaurant. All dishes were wonderful with good cooking. Thank you Chef for adapting the beef curry and made it tasty. I also liked fried mushroom and prawn with garlic. The staffs were very nice with service mind. I would come back for the next trip to Nan. PS. Craft soda was good.
