Like any sane person, we stopped by for ice cream in the middle of the night amidst 50 degree weather. That aside, this a decent spot for rolled ice cream and has potential. Stepping in, you'll immediately notice the pretty decor that would make for a cute photo backdrop. After you order, there's a slight wait, and given that there was only 1 worker at the time, expect 20 min. for them to make the ice cream, all while you can watch the entire process. We ordered the Thai Tea, which came with coconut flakes, condensed milk, whipped cream, and an oreo cookie. While it didn't blow us away. the ice cream wasn't too sweet and we still enjoyed it. Portions are perfect, and with our single order, it was enough to split between two. Price is also reasonable compared to other rolled ice cream spots. Parking is super easy to find given the location. Atmosphere could also be a bit livelier. I know it was late, but it felt drab without any music and with the TVs off. Looks like the place is still being worked on. In the future, I would like to see more flavors being added and more variety/customization options for toppings.
So, it was a Sunday night just before 9 and we were happy to find this place open until 10 on Yelp. Upon arriving, the place barely looked open--no signage, no one at the front, dead. We should've turned around right there. But, we went ahead and ordered one Thai Tea and one Matcha rolled ice cream. When our ice cream arrived, the Matcha was missing the red bean and the Thai Tea was missing the condensed milk and coconut. When asked, the server said they ran out. Sure would've been nice to know that before ordering. And that was in addition to the Pocky sticks that were already listed as out. Turned out to be 2 cups with about 1/2 scoop of ice cream with a tiny dollop of whipped cream each for over $15. I hope the place gets its act together, but buyer beware. The only happy one in our group was our daughter who went a couple doors down and got a horchata at Los Gallos.
First things first; this place has some bomb azz rolled ice cream! Expensive, yes. But delicious?! On Gaaawd! It's pretty damn tasty. The Cajun boiled shrimp is a bit of a different story though. It was average at best. I first stopped here when they were giving out free samples of their boiled Cajun shrimp one day. I didn't actually purchase anything, but I stopped at their table and tried a sample of the shrimp. It was surprisingly really good and I told myself that I'd stop back by to try it. About a month later, I dropped by to get some for dinner. Ordered a bag of the Cajun shrimp and also ended up getting the piña colada rolled ice cream after I saw someone else order this. To be honest, I've never been a big rolled ice cream kinda gal. But after having this beautiful piña colada rolled ice cream concoction, It's making me second guess that notion. I meeeeaaan... that thang was delightful! First off, they serve it in a big Ol' pineapple and dress it with fresh pineapples, bananas, coconut shreds, and whipped cream. It took me 3 nights to finish this entire thing by myself. It's literally it's own meal. So although it's a pricey $9, it's an excellent splurge that will keep on giving. I feel like this is better shared, but it does freeze pretty well too just in case you can't finish it all in one sitting. The Cajun boiled shrimp had good flavor, but the shrimps were really mushy and didn't taste very fresh. On top of that, they don't devein the shrimp. There was tons of shrimp pooh on them : . My thing is, if I'm paying this kind of money for this shrimp, the LEAST that they can do is to take the time to properly clean them. Probably wouldn't come back for the shrimp because of this, but the rolled ice cream is worth it if you're willing to splurge on it.
This place is closed. We tried to go there last night for my sisters birthday. We drove around in the parking lot several times trying to find it. The sign is no longer up. PLEASE MARK THIS BUSINESS CLOSED
