The staff member at the counter informed me that they couldn't specify a time, only that it would be ready soon. By that point, I had already been waiting for 15 minutes. I ended up receiving my coffee after 20 minutes, which is far too long to wait for a simple coffee order.
I would appreciate it if the baristas at this location took a moment to confirm orders and drink modifications instead of responding indifferently, as if they have more pressing matters to attend to. Today was the 100th time I left with regular milk instead of the almond milk I specifically requested and paid for. If they could just take a little extra time to verify orders, it would save them time and reduce waste from having to remake drinks. This small change would enhance both customer service and their budget, especially during times of shortage. I make the drive from Hayward to visit this location because the service there is also quite poor, but unfortunately, with the recent changes in baristas, the service here has begun to decline as well.
Despite having only two staff members on duty and a long line of at least twenty people, the team was impressively kind and courteous while managing orders. I had a specific drink in mind, and the gentleman at the counter was very patient as I explained my request in detail. The wait time was reasonable, and my drink not only looked fantastic but tasted great as well. I genuinely appreciated the staff's friendliness, and the location itself is quite charming. I would definitely come back!
I've been to this Starbucks numerous times, but this was my most disappointing experience with their service. It feels like this location primarily hires employees who struggle to find work elsewhere. Every interaction I've had here has been frustrating—either the staff is slow, or they mess up my order. I won't be returning to this branch; I've had enough.
This review is about Pleasanton, and while I might not be expected to critique it, I'll share my thoughts. During my first drive through Pleasanton, I couldn't help but laugh. It felt as if someone had taken the design of SimCity 2000 and constructed it in real life, placing it right on the ground. There's a unique bubble-like atmosphere that you experience while you're there, and you can certainly feel the contrast when you leave. I can't imagine growing up or living there without any exposure to places like Amman, São Paulo, or the Amazon. I'm serious enough to put this in writing; it seems like everything is meticulously placed exactly where it should be.
