Someone called it in and then picked it up no delivery but no worries. I wasn 't expecting much since we were out in the boonies but I was pleasantly surprised when we sat down to have dinner. The three of us got fish 'n chips, and each of us received four fist sized pieces of cod. The breading was right on perfection with the fish perfectly cooked. Their fries were homemade, not frozen, with some kind of breading we couldn 't identify that really tasted good. The chunk of garlic bread was house made too and tasted good. My friend and I ordered a cup of clam chowder which was more like red potato soup with just a couple tiny slivers of clams in a chicken broth. I wouldn 't order that again. My other friend got a garden salad. He got too stuffed on his fish and didn 't get to the salad. The tartar sauce was good, too. I really enjoyed the fish the best and could have eaten that all day if it wasn 't so filling! I was treated to my meal so I have no idea what the prices are but will check this place out again. Food: 4
I forgot our servers name, short straight brown hair; she was so good. My toddler was fussy from the start and she came over with strawberries and whip cream to cheer her up without us even asking which worked wonders, so nice! The food was amazing. Definitely recommend!
I'm not really too sure where to start here because I DIDN'T ORDER ANYTHING. Well I ordered a tea and a coffee to go. Why? Upon walking in I was greeting with a very nostalgic atmosphere. Heavy fried food smell with less that adequate venting. lol The way the tables are laid out with the table cloths and the nice cushions. Really old school and I was really looking forward to sitting down and having myself a load-up, when BANG.... The menu had burgers priced at $12-16! I know that you know that the owners know that these are not fresh farm to table grass-fed hand-held burgers. Not a chance of it going by the air-quality in this place. Everything on the menu was probably frozen and fried but I just couldn't get round the pricing. As it is the coffee was hot and wet but only had a vague taste of coffee. Plus after a few minutes of sitting there in my clean clothes, I realized that I was going to smell of fries for the rest of the day and that made me feel rather annoyed. Hence 2 drinks to go please as I felt awkward as the only customer to be in there to actually walk out... So there you go. I don't like to put places down but this really seemed like I avoided a huge and expensive disappointment.
Food is great. We like the food, always have. We went there for lunch, everything was good until the waitress came by to lecture us about her fanatic political views, 'and all that hate, hate, hate that that incident that happened last year caused. ' She could not seem to see her mixing work with politics was flat out unprofessional, and she was as hateful and intolerant as the people she was bi**ing about. I continued to tell her 'we don 't turn in the TV ' to let her know we are not interested in talking politics, and my opinions are not relevant as a customer. She kept going on and on and on and on. It was implied that if we don 't agree with her political views, the situation would get nasty. I felt cornered, upset and intimidated. I was about to lose my lunch because the stress of the topic. The woman was completely unhinged and making assumptions about our life, what we did for a living, etc. All we wanted to do was have a nice quite lunch, but we were force fed poisonous political opinions. I don 't know if people see how unhinged and crazy they sound, and how disturbing it is for sane people to listen to them babble on about issues they don 't even understand, that have not even affected her life in any way, and the listener does not care to har about- it is unprofessional to push your politics on your customers while they are trying to eat in peace.
I haven't eaten here so I can't speak to the food. They have several good local beers on tap. Pints were $4 each. No complaints! When were were here there was only one guy working the bar and seating people in the restaurant. He was working hard, too! Snug Harbor is a good spot for locals or for people passing on their way through looking for a place to have a drink or bite to eat.
