84 degrees at 10 AM and I headed out to Historic District Wilmington Weekly Farmers Market! I had only went once before this year and my favorite farmer was not there so my fingers were crossed that they would be there today!Luck was going my way. Even though the son and daughter in law were not there dad and another son were. Dad said his older son got another job so he could not be there.I chose beautiful tomatoes, yellow zucchini and yellow squash along with fresh blueberries which are in season now in NC. I finally chose my favorite squash the Patty Pan! I told the dad that it is the reason I started buying from his stand. Nice family and the kind of people I love to support!
A fun farmers market by the riverfront in downtown Wilmington. Two streets are blocked off with lots of vendors lining both sides of the street on Saturday mornings. We purchased strawberries, tomatoes, cukes, sourdough chocolate chip cookies and admired all the flowers and the artisans. Friendly sellers.4.3 stars
This is a real Farmers' Market, with lots of variety, friendly vendors, and a fun, walkable downtown location. Seasonal produce, baked goods, honey, eggs, meat, jams, plus an assortment of local artisan-made products and crafts. A fun outing if you are visiting for a weekend and even better as a weekly Saturday morning excursion if you live here.
Low key, fun and friendly. Vendors are all very unique and ready to share their gifts with you.
