Esquina - Portimão

Everything about this restaurant is great. By no means a fancy upmarket restaurant, but for food service its as good as any 5 star restaurant. Block away from main strip just off one of the squares. The service is always top notch. Never had a bad meal here.

Do not walk by and pass up on this little beauty of a small local restaurant whilst visiting Portimao. We happened across this place by accident and figured that we would try the food because so many locals were eating there. If it’s good enough for the local residents….. The menu is very simple, the prices by far the cheapest throughout the local region. But by God the quality and service excelled! The food was perfect, the quantity plenty and the service exceptional. The house red was the best wine of the holiday and we felt obliged to come back and have our final meal here before we left. To put into context, we stayed in portimau for 10 nights, we ate at over 15 different restaurants spread over Alvor, Portimau and Praia da rocha. We ate at some absolutely beautiful places that provided some utterly breathtaking moments, but for all its simplicity and “plain Jane” looking exterior, THIS is the one place we will remember and will be the FIRST PLACE that we would recommend. It deserves all the success in the world.

My boyfriend and I had a quick lunch at restaurante Esquina. This is a simple, local place, with basic food. The terrace was situated in the shadow though and that was most important to us. The fish soup I ordered tasted too much like tomato soup, but my stomach was filled by it. My boyfriend had a simple omelet. Everything was very cheap, so nothing to complain there, but not a meal we will remember.

Sopa de peixe divinal e o arroz de Marisco não fica muito atrás. Tudo muito fresco e confecionado na hora, o arroz veio a fervilhar para a mesa e o marisco sabia a mar. Recomendo a quem vá a Portimão, preços acessíveis, comida boa e doses bastante generosas

Atendimento impecável, muito gentil e profissional. Pratos muito bons! Comemos arroz de tamboril? e meu filho comeu massa de bolo duas vezes. Eu recomendo
