Eclectic menu choices with a lot of good choices, and everything we tried was excellent. Croque monsieur was huge, and unlike what I've had in France, but delicious nonetheless. Service is friendly, but we had a long wait before getting our food. The place has such a nice feel, we didn't really care. Deserts are exceptional, as was the cappuccino. We will definitely go back.
Papa Haydn is one of the best special occasion restaurants you can go to in Portland for a nice lunch or cozy dinner. The jazz on Sundays and Wednesdays makes this place special within its own right but the cakes and desserts sets it apart from all others. This place is definitely pricey which is why I wouldn't come here consistently. The portions for some dishes can be small and leaving you wanting a bit more but overall, I absolutely this restaurant and will be coming back for as long as it's open!
The most amazing desserts! They taste even better than they look!!
The whole experience was incredible. It wasn't just that the food was delicious but the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We had a great time eating delicious food and the best dessert I've had in a while and on top of that, a super friendly and accommodating staff. Their desserts are amazing, the cakes are baked to perfection with the right balance of moisture and density. We had a great time and definitely will be back again if visiting the area.
This is my fav afternoon stop for coffee dessert while walking and shopping on 23rd. Excellent cake and other desserts, coffee is divine. Terrific service. Always busy, can be crowded with a wait on weekends. We never feel rushed. I have introduced many friends to this shop, they all fall in love with it.Parking: Park where you can in this neighborhood! Walk enjoy.
