Snack Ilhue Mole - Porto Moniz

I went as a tourist, because I asked a lot of locals which one was the best restaurant in the city, and most of them recommended me Ilheu Mole. It is a modest place, with great food and friendly staff. I had a good experience (2 times), and I recommend this place if you want to try good local food for a fair price!

Great service, good and inexpensive food and beverages (and good poncha as well). It is nearby the pools, recommended to visit at least for a coffee to check out

Charming cafe with excellent food. The prix fixe daily lunch selections are excellent and a great value. Staff was amazing and understood true hospitality. I will be back on my next visit. Make sure to order a garoto coffee, you will not be disappointed.

Small but cheap menu, ideal after natural pools, just get a quick bite, take the empanadas or fries. with chicken, drink a cool drink and that’s it! Staff was very friendly and there were native Portuguese people eating there which I think is a good sign. They are open minimum in the afternoon although Tripadvisor says it’s closed.
