I was in the dining hall drinking coffee and eating a ham sub I ordered while I was working on writing code for an online business that I am in the process of starting. There was a young lady who went to try to clean the dining area as I was sitting there working on writing code. I asked her, “Do you need me to move so you can clean the dining hall?”, her response was, “No you’re ok I will just work around you”. I opted to walk outside to get some fresh air anyways because even though she said no. I still felt like it was the right thing to do. As a former Barista at various coffee shops and restaurants. I understand the importance of trying to do your job and maintain cleanliness . I came back in and was immediately greeted with being called a “Loiterer” on the loud speaker and was asked to leave or ealse law enforcement was going to be called. I do not understand these horrible business practices. I was literally doing what a lot of people do when they dine at Sheetz. The difference was I was trying to make an honest living and I consistently purchased energy drinks, food, cold brew and I even bought a ten dollar pack of cigarettes during the time frame I was there. I DO NOT THINK I AM LOITERING WHEN I AM A CUSTOMER WHO DID NOTHING WRONG AND WAS WORKING ON MY ASSIGNMENT! I could understand if I was being disruptive and not buying anything to eat like a lot of customers who dine there at night or even throughout the day but I am a recurring loyal customer and a extremely intelligent young man who was only trying to make an honest living while enjoying my cold brew and believe me I seen customers get away with far worse things then my transgressions at this store that the employees have turned a blind eye to during those hours. Out of all the things that occur at this store they wanted to harass me, and publically humiliate me. I have been to this Sheetz plenty of times throughout the day and at night to dine, study, read, perform various online tasks on my phone and chromebook. I have dined there time and time again and was not once ever asked to leave and had no implication that it was problem, with what I was doing, again most people get away with things there that are much worse. Personally I think it was just an attack on my character. More so then it was so called rules and regulations. This is defamation at its finest. I am deeply embarrassed, hurt and confused by this horrible experience. I think management and employees there need to be retrained in proper etiquette. This would never happen at Sheetz from Boonsboro, customers are treated with much value and dignity. Then again Boonsboro is located in a much nicer, rural area as opposed to Cumberland. I hope that this store learns to provide a better customer experience.
I tried the ham salad on white. Neither the best nor the worst ham salad I've tried. Lots of AC outlets and USB charging ports plus free wifi. Seven tables and 25 chairs.
I had a good experience at the Sheetz the only issue I have had was with there ATM it's down as much as up
I feel obliged to give my input at this point. Not only have I gone in here nine-sheets to the wind but I've also had my daily rituals in this place. Delivery or not. THIS. IS PRIME SHEETZ. Hands down.
Really like Sheetz and this one stayed up with expectations. The food is made to order and they have many good options. I wasn’t a fan of the sandwich I got but that’s okay. Well priced fuel and clean restrooms as well.
