Originally planning to go to a different pub nearby, we ended up at the Ancient Briton as the other pub appeared to be closed. The food was fantastic! Our group of six enjoyed dishes such as risotto (vegetarian for my mum), Christmas Dinner, Chicken Supreme, a pie, and festive burgers topped with pig in a blanket and cranberry sauce. For dessert, I had the orange marmalade bread pudding with custard, which was recommended by our server and was delicious. The staff took good care of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you're in the area, be sure to give this place a try – you won't be disappointed!
£22 for one course Sunday Lunch. We had starters and thy were disappointing in quality and price. Ordered some extras and they were a complete rip off. Locally sourced ingredients; really? The meat is pre/prepared warmed up. Lost its way and over priced. Sorry will have to avoid.
I can’t say anymore than fantastic Great hosts Great beer Great food And a really warm welcome from all the staff who were so welcoming
This pub is beautiful, with fantastic owners and bar staff, and the food is outstanding. We stayed overnight and the owners were lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was the best I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend a visit.
Unfortunately very discriminatory of disabled people! The disabled parking bays are blocked. There are no hand grips or wheelchair access. The disabled toilet has been removed and turned into a storage room. Spoilt the whole parties night as as to leave early. Very disappointing
