10/10 this is one of my favorite spots in KC. The atmosphere is so good. It’s easy to pretend you’re spending the morning in France. I’ve never been disappointed by anything
French Market has great food and reasonably priced. The crepes are particularly good. The atmosphere is nice and staff are all friendly. It’s crowded at lunch time so come earlier or later to avoid the rush and waiting in line.
Edit: I can't get dinner items. 11-3 got quinoa salad with double salmon for $27 vs. dinner, $21... employee told me the salmon portion was smaller, but it is not. Didn't need 2 full portions of salmon. Can't get asparagus either. Also docking atmosphere cause can't stand this rich people snob energy that lives here and also the staff even treating me weird IMHO probably cause I dress like I'm broke but that just shows their character and the vibe here Not gonna dock food, or overall, though, it's still fire. Price is reasonable, too. The quinoa salad and salmon I ordered was still what I wanted ultimately was a full portion of salmon and am happy and the chickpea carrot salad is a delicious steal for $4. Had the salmon dete and asparagus wow perfect
My daughter and I had an incredible dining experience at The Café at French Market in Kansas City. We ordered the Crab Cake Slider, Rillettes De Saumon, and Saumon D'été, and each dish was outstanding. The house-smoked salmon with crème fraîche and herbs was deliciously fresh, and the seared salmon with cauliflower purée and red wine reduction was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with options to dine indoors or on the patio. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of what this charming spot has to offer!
