We came in twice over our caravan weekend at the nearby site: At first glance it looks like the sort of local's pub where visitors won't be welcomed, but don't worry the welcome was excellent, as was the food and the atmosphere. We had a table right by one of the fires, and even though the pub was packed our food came quickly and was well made. If we are in the area we will definitely eat here again. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sticky BBQ Ribs with Chips Salad, Priddy Ham Eggs Chips
We visited the restaurant on 16/11 for 'Pie Week' and we were extremely satisfied, as always. The service was excellent and the lovely log fire kept us warm. The pies we ordered, Steak and Stilton for my partner and Minted Lamb and Leek for me, were both delicious and filling. The price per person was between £10-20 and we rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5. We recommend trying the Fish and Chips, Lasagne, Beef Ale and Mushroom Pie, Ploughman's, Priddy Ham Eggs Chips, and Steak and Ale Pie with Mushrooms.
This is a great spot for grabbing a beer. I didn't eat here but I would definitely recommend it for its hospitality. The price per person ranges from £1 to £10. The service is rated 4 out of 5 and the atmosphere is also a 4 out of 5.
