Absolutely the worst cook out experience I had. I was in the drive thru this afternoon around 2:30pm trying to place my order with my elderly parents, who were trying to decide what they wanted. The lady on the intercom was very nasty after I was giving her my order, there was a disconnect and I wasn’t sure if she heard me and I repeated that I wanted the cheddar white bites and she yelled at me saying “I already heard you say that what else do you want”. I told her there was no reason to yell at me and I would be giving my money to any place that is being disrespectful. I am absolutely disgusted.
The Cookout on 501 in Conway near CCU has the same good quality burgers, fries, grilled chicken sandwiches, hush puppies sides that we all know and love. This location has a good layout for seating. Unlike the Surfside location, this route 501 Cookout is clean (not a sticky mess with dirty seats). The staff here definitely works hard so that eating here is a nice experience.
The line was wrapped around the building and into the street and the worker was doing a horrible job directing traffic. To the point where they actually led a car to drive up on the curb and damage their car. I went through the line and they gave me the wrong order a couple times and when i did get my order it was subpar, at best. The second star comes from me trying to extend grace because I may be subconsciously holding them to Ruth’s Chris type expectations but dang….not a great experience.
Went via drive thru.. the way the order line(s) meandered through the parking lot, the essentially were no available parking spots. Aside from that, the lines moved surprisingly quickly. They got the order correct! The shake was actually blended decently Instead of haphazardly done as in the past.
