Contribuer aux commentaires... my Dutch colleague, when I told him about my lunch at the Rodes Hotel in Loccum. Right he had....... Loccum is known through his monastery where a lot of culture takes place. That's why I hadn't swept to the stadiums of the Steinhuder Meer, because there some of my customers promote natural gas and occasionally I have to go there, award meetings, construction meetings and commissioning are in the Lower Saxony loneliness north of Hanover. I was on the way back west back to the office and my stomach crawled (breakfast in the morning at 5 and then only coffee......... when I noticed the enlightened windows of Hotel Rode to the village of Loccum. I was already over when I thought, man, an inn that had lunch! Isn't there a lot more with us in the country. I began to hope to avoid Pomme's barrier. The Hotel Rode made a very well-maintained impression when I went to the parking lot after a U-turn. A few out-of-the-box signs in the parking lot made me think of life in the guest room. Better and better than a quick snack, so I escaped my car and went towards the door. At the reception of the boss (I would like to know later on the phone. I waited and when he had finished, he answered my question positively about a midnight return. Fine, I went towards the guest room. Only a living room and smoker's real smell and design left me back to the '70s and '80s when I visited my home with my parents as a little boy, as it looked here and as smelled it here. Luckily behind this is a guest room, well maintained and more accurately covered. And even without tobacco smoke notes, I took place here. All alone I was in the guest room, the boss and chef (Montur betrayed him to fly the cards and then started to serve alcohol-free pils ordered by me. That came to the table in the bottle. I've seen the cards. Natural cuisine with wild and meat from own hunting and production, fine, I had a good snack. The lunch ticket was supplemented by a seasonal offer with whistling. Much meat, but we were also in the country, the large-scale vegan probably never gets lost in this inn. The offer was very rustic. Hunger has to be here, and I had, so I ordered grilled pork medaillons with whistles, homemade herbal butter, mixed salad plate and roaststis. On the way, the cook served the salad. A wild mix of fresh and preserve ingredients, and a ready-made sauce over it. That wasn't so nice, especially because there are so many fresh ingredients for a salad bag, then no inserted bean has to be in, or corn, or Krautsalat...not so delicious. I had eaten halfway when the actual dish came to the table on two plates. The Convienience-Röstis came separately. That they wouldn't be fresh, I had expected. In addition, there are in the northern German plains, which I remember repeatedly in such inns, a very strange demand for almost all locals for bag chains and Röstis. So that was not unexpected and beautiful that they did not come under the sauce of the main plate while serving. Pork medillions, herbal butter, pifferlings all there. Homemade the butter was advertised, I tried to release a piece of the three pieces to taste. They were frozen. And because frozen completely without taste. They stayed where they were and I wondered if you can order frozen, shaped herbal butter from the dealer of his trust. After the salad, another aspect that didn't leave me happy. So to the mushrooms that were served with a lot of bacon and a brown sauce. The mushrooms did not taste fried, they were rather soft, and even the very plentiful bacon did not make it that source aroma could also only point a little into its barriers. That was definitely a ready-made sauce, Menno, heavily inoculated with hef extract, why do you make a cooking training? But not to stir bag contents in water afterwards! Point three, which went hard against me. And where was the fresh parsley that belongs to any mushroom dish? What remained? The meat, and that was really delicious. Kross fried outside, inside juicy, very good quality, you believe the saying from above. But if this really good meat is accompanied on the plate, then everything is lost! It just doesn't taste. My nuts had proved a good smell only in animal proteins, the rest was disappointing. The question of my satisfaction I answered with just still neatly what lifts the boss an eyebrow, but not read further....... I was alone with a second guest in the large guest room, so it was easy for Chef and Chef in one person to serve, there were no problems. So I can come to the conclusion, a beautiful farm, in an area where you can only take a lunch in such a place with good luck. Very good meat on the plate, but that was it. The remaining components were not in line with the EUR 25 requested price. And even if I admit that this type of kitchen is likely to be desired for most guests as well, I don't like that and that's why it's very unlikely that I'll return again.
