Although they are not exclusively gluten-free, they are strict and very knowledgeable about allergens in their sausage production process. They ensure that the production area is cleaned daily, starting with ingredients that have the least allergens like gluten, soy, and garlic. The butcher advised me that three of the sausages labeled GF were safe to eat, but recommended avoiding the smoked flavor if I had celiac disease, as it was filled after non-GF flavors. They follow this strict process to control allergens every time. I felt confident purchasing sausage from them and it was delicious!
I stopped by Ray's to pick up some meat for dinner and was really impressed with their attention to allergen protocols. Although they are not exclusively gluten-free, they are very strict and knowledgeable about allergens in their sausage making process. They make sure to start each day with a clean production area, focusing on ingredients with fewer allergens like gluten, soy, and garlic. The butcher informed me that three of the sausages labeled gluten-free were safe for me to enjoy, but advised against the fourth one with smoked flavor because it was stuffed last after non-gluten-free flavors. They follow this order meticulously every time to control allergens. I felt confident in buying some bratwurst to cook, and they turned out to be delicious!
