I had the opportunity to visit this establishment recently and would like to share my feedback. The service and atmosphere were commendable, which set a positive tone for the dining experience. However, it is essential to address the food quality, as it plays a pivotal role in overall satisfaction. Here's a detailed breakdown of my culinary experience:1. The brisket, unfortunately, left much to be desired as it was cold and overly dry.2. The ribs were, regrettably, the least enjoyable I've ever encountered. They were overcooked, extremely dry, and lacked in flavor. My cousin and I refrained from finishing them, let alone taking any leftovers home.3. The mac and cheese, disappointingly, lacked the expected flavor profile, resembling more of a blend of noodles and breadcrumbs.4. The cornbread presented a mixed verdict. While it boasted excellent flavor, the edges were unfortunately burnt.5. On a brighter note, the pulled pork was well-prepared and exhibited a pleasing taste.6. The mashed potatoes, on the other hand, were a standout, offering a delicious and flavorful side.7. One highlight of the meal was the remarkable selection of sauces, with the hot barbecue sauce standing out as a personal favorite. In conclusion, based on my experience, I would hesitate to recommend this establishment unless your sole focus is on enjoying the pulled pork. The inconsistencies in the quality of other dishes detracted from an otherwise pleasant service and atmosphere.
Good food and service. Atmosphere feels like a strip mall however. I liked the Hayward location better, but that one closed. Parking: Free parking in strip mall lot. Kid-friendliness: Has a kids meal but no milk, only soda. Wheelchair accessibility: Single story with handicap parking.
A delicious bbq meal is waiting for you. They have pulled pork, brisket, ribs, pulled chicken, hot links, smoked wings and more. Plus several bbq sides like mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and fries.Get your meal as a sandwich, platter or (my personal favorite) in a bowl.Their Memphis combo (brisket, pulled pork, hot links) as a bowl, and an order of smoke wings make for a great meal.Make sure to try one of there several house-made bbq sauces. They have seating inside and a few outside as well. Vegetarian options: Being a bbq place, I would gather this is more for the carnivores of the world. Parking: Shopping mall parking lot. Plenty of spots. Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn’t love to eat messy food with their hands! Wheelchair accessibility: Isles are big enough to accommodate wheel chairs.
Hey you, yes the one reading this review. Do yourself a favor and get in a vehicle, bicycle, run, walk..I don't care if you have to take a pogo stick to get to Old Southern Smokehouse. Get there and eat. You deserve it. The Brisket Sandwich changed my life it's that good.I was on my way to divorce court and really needed a good meal. My soon to be ex-wife smelled the Brisket on me and we are now back together.10/10
