The waitress was very attentive to us despite the restaurant being pretty full. The food was seasoned well and came in a good amount of time. The night was a good temperature so the windows were open. Which was an added bonus.
Great location food. I got the Paella for 1 no chorizo due to my specific diet and I ended up with pieces of it at the end of my meal. They offered to compensate me which it was pleasant Im Just glad i was allergic to it I didn?t digest it. The calamari was cooked to perfection I would definitely go back i just wont be getting the same dish since im scared the same would happen. Everyone loved their food
Came here last Friday night before leaving Richmond, my friend Beau who lives in the Richmond area recommended it. The Cuban Coffee and Tres Leches was delicious, great variety of cigars on the menu. The atmosphere was awesome, this place is truly a gem to the city of Richmond. We definitely plan to come back next time we're in the area or passing through!
We visited the restaurant on Friday eve and it was lovely and lively with Cuban vibe. Ordered couple of their specialty cocktails and they did their job well. Their menu is not very vegetarian friendly but still staff managed to get us 3-4 appetizers which were delicious. Cuban style nachos and Spanish pizza were a hit and also the dip served with sweet potato fries.. The decor of restaurant with palm trees and ceiling fans tries to give life to Cuban vibe.
Seeing all the good reviews online we decided try out Havanna 59 on our trip to Richmond. The location, atmosphere, service and the drinks were good, the food was avarage at best. Nothing tasted fresh. The pork morsels tasted like they were cooked days ago and then just refried to order, the cilantro sauce was good. My husband had the Ropa Vieja, I had the Paella. The fried plantains accompanying the Ropa Vieja had no flavor and were super dry, the beans tasted like canned
