The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. The servers made sure our teapots were always filled and promptly cleared away our empty plates. The owner was very friendly and checked on us multiple times, engaging in pleasant conversations. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.
The restaurant offers top-notch service and delicious food that leans more towards Szechuan cuisine than Shanghai. It is a clean, family-friendly establishment with ample free parking. The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes and quality of the dishes. I would definitely consider dining here again in the future.
If you're in the mood for congee and tapas-style sharing plates, this restaurant is a pleasant surprise. The congee, in particular, is smooth and healthy. The deep-fried dishes are also a hit. The ambiance is elegant with white tablecloths and the service is top-notch. We have been frequenting this restaurant ever since discovering a $10 coupon on Safeway receipts in Richmond stores.
We took advantage of a Groupon deal and came to this restaurant on a Monday holiday. The Groupon didn't specify that it wasn't valid on holidays, but the waitress offered to honor it for an additional $4, which was fine with us. We were able to choose 1 appetizer, 1 cold plate, 1 soup, 2 entrees, and a dessert. We decided on the wild Milan salad with tofu, beef wrap, Shanghai wonton soup, sweet and sour pork, Shanghai stir-fry noodles, and deep-fried red bean paste cake. Everything tasted delicious, though the prices were a bit high. The waitress and manager were very friendly and smiled a lot, even though they were busy, which was a nice change from other Asian restaurants where the staff seem unhappy and stressed.
