From the first contact with Chris to the lunch on the day it was a first class experience. Birthday lunch for 9 in the semi private 'alcove ' area off the main dining area. The food was excellent and service very attentive. They have a good balance of being formal but not stuffy. For £55 for 3 courses and lots of delicious bread, given the atmosphere, sense of occasion view and impeccable service I think it was good value probably also because our drink consumption was quite modest and it is always the drinks that push up the bill in any restaurant. Nice touch of a candle in the pudding and a birthday card from the Hotel. Definitely would recommend for a celebration meal in a lovely location!
After a long journey from LA, we arrived tired at the restaurant. Our waiter, Pryrak, was patient and helped us with our choices, making our dining experience wonderful. We also had a great stay at the charming Victorian hotel, where the friendly receptionist, Elaina, made sure we received five-star treatment. We were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep after a lovely dinner.
We spontaneously decided to have Sunday lunch at Petersham. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the views were breathtaking. I enjoyed the soup, roast beef, and creme brulee, all of which were delicious. My partner had smoked salmon, beef, and raspberry sorbet, and said everything was top quality. We will definitely be returning soon.
What a great old style Sunday lunch with beautiful tasty food and lovely staff. Anat was a charming host and Somina apologies if wrong spelling) did not stop working all service. The food was excellent with Beef Wellington perfectly cooked and some lovely other dishes. The dinning room has beautiful views and we all loved it.
