Restaurant Sam Yi - Rimouski

We sampled the sweet and sour chicken, beef broccoli, and garlic shrimp - all of which came out hot and delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. We would definitely return.

I was disappointed with the noodle soup I tried at this restaurant. It was lacking in flavor and was quite bland. The price did not justify the quality. I wish they offered pho on the menu instead.

Even though we visited the restaurant on a Sunday night at 7:30pm, we were disappointed by the lackluster buffet offerings. The kitchen staff promised to make something fresh for us, but the only thing that seemed Vietnamese was the fresh bread. Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food was mediocre at best. It seems like the chef could use some improvement in their technique. Overall, the dishes tasted like average Chinese buffet fare when fresh.

Although we went at 7:30 pm on a Sunday evening we should have left after looking at the leftover Buffett. The kitchen staff assured us that they would cook anything fresh for us but the ONLY thing Vietnamese about the food was fresh rolls. Although made for us the cook definitely needed practice in his technique . This is average Chinese Buffett food if fresh and nothing more.
