Ixtapa - Riverside

This is the BEST seafood restaurant in Riverside. I highly recommend coming here specifically for the seafood dishes. I always order the Mocajete de Mariscos and the Langostinos. I do want to mention that prices for these items have increased by about 25% or more over the past year, which is a bit disappointing.

I ordered the shrimp fajitas, and there were only six shrimp in the dish, which made me laugh. They were tasty, but I expected a larger portion for the price. I went on a Friday night, and they had karaoke, which was a lot of fun. It was entertaining to watch people sing classic Mexican songs!

The customer service was outstanding. The food was delicious. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated, and once we placed our order, our meals arrived quickly. Our waitress and the manager frequently checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory. Don't miss trying the mixed hot botana; it's perfect for sharing.

The atmosphere is great and the service was wonderful. I do recommend this place! It's just that the price seems much too high without more on the plate, for instance my shrimp plate came with rice and not any beans and shrimp difficult to get out of full shell when could easily have been cut when preparing to make that easier. The bean dip that comes with chips is excellent and the salsa adequate yet I found serving it in a tiny little individual serving plastic tiny couple tablespoons size a bit cheap when the entry costs that much. That is reason gave a 4 and not 5.
