I wish I could remember all the sushi we ordered o.0, but I think it was the strawberry limonade sushi roll that triggered me most! literally Sushi Dessert! So many decisions! Go here with several people who also want everything you can eat so you can try more! Also baked mussels were so good!
Beautiful view fast service due to cheap ingredients? They don't pay $10 for coated frozen squid. The quality of the rolls is somewhat above average, but not yet worth the price. I think it's actually a strategy to make people all-you-can-eat over a la carte. These things at cost 77 raw price for 2 and only fyi all-you-can-eat is 37ish/person from June 2022z
By far the worst sushi restaurant I've tried. Waiter was doing a great job. It was a solo young man hustling trying to wait on everyone. It was early dinner on a weekend, not very busy. As usual with most restaurants, they wanted the majority of diners sitting in one section of the restaurant to make it easier for the wait staff. A single diner came in and wanted to sit in the opposite side of the restaurant. The waiter did the right thing and sat her where she wanted to. After all, we're still in a pandemic and if she wants to sit away from others, by all means, let her. The owner chastised the waiter for seating her in the unoccupied half of the restaurant. On to the food. The AYCE menu has, amongst other things, oysters. I order oysters. The waiter tells me they don't serve, again, amongst other things I ordered, oysters. When I told him it's on the menu, he seemed unaware they were on there. He said he'll have the manger/owner talk to me. When the manager/owner come to the table, she said they don't serve oysters. When I told her they were on the menu, along with other things I ordered that also didn't get served, she said those are the old menus. One of the reasons I decided to try this place, was the oysters. I tell you with 100% certainty that if I knew they didn't serve oysters, I would've gone somewhere else. That was one of the reasons I justified paying the hefty price. More about the food. I ordered shrimp tempura, I got panko shrimp from Costco. I ordered calamari, I got carboard that looked and tasted like it was pre-battered and frozen at a factory. The nigiri was a joke. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Aside from the tasteless, dense, and mushy rice, it's WAY too much rice for the paper-thin fish they put on top of it. Nevermind the bone I pulled out of the salmon. One of the rolls was a California roll topped with spicy tuna. Take a look at the photo, there's barely any spicy tuna on top. The other plate came drenched in sauce. For the price of this place, there are many other AYCE sushi places in the area with far better food and service. The friendly wait staff bumped this place up from 1 star to 2 stars.
Best Sushi in the Inland Empire very fresh and good portions staff is very friendly.
How could AYCE Sushi be so good in Riverside? I was really impressed by my experience here. The fish quality was great, our food came out quickly, and the restaurant is spacious. I definitely recommend ordering nigiri here! The favorites of my family were Seared Escolar, Lachs and Unagi. The rice-to-fish ratio was perfect and really highlighted the taste of every fish. For roles: My family really loved the strawberry lemonade, Ultimate Salmon, honeymoon and Upland! All these reels had no crazy amount of rice and were definitely generous in portions of fish, avocado, etc. A disadvantage was that waiters were constantly unaware of which roles were given to us and would also give us things that we did not order... maybe from other tables? This happened frequently and we were confused about what we ate at times.
