Very delicate, cooked as I ordered it. I'm not really a French friend, but I'm gonna say the fries that came with the steak were very good for the season that was on him. My husband decided to try shrimps and grits. He was also very happy with his dinner. We're leaving. The only drawback was that we were there a little over an hour, which is very unusual. It took longer to take our order and get out longer for our food.
This once five star steakhouse just goes through a change with its new menu. It is much smaller a menu with a new seating plan. With the old wall away, the atmosphere is like your food on the casino floor and not in a steakhouse that will make you reservations before time. The food quality is still top notch along with the spectacular service, but the atmosphere kills all the experience. Worth it.
I'll order a Martini who called the joker. If someone else had been fine, it would have been better. I had salad, it was pitiful. My mother ordered a steak well. And had to be sent back, but her potato was great. The service is slow...
My family likes to have a nice meal out every week. Most of the time we will go to places like Hemisphere, Steventons, or even Ruthies (why we would ever try Djs) We don't gamble, so to go to this restaurant was purely out of looking for a decent meal. $174 (3 of us before tip) later what we received was a half decent filet sitting on steaksauce. No lie, the steak sat on A1!!! That should be enough said, but I'm going to back track a bit, all of this was after standing at the hostess area for 10 minutes. Several people seen us, but their bartenders and other waitstaff just watched us stand there without a word said. Besides the overcooked steak sitting on A1, being ignored by staff,, we also had an open view of the casino. I'm being sarcastic, it was a joke. Amazing that this restaurant can charge the food at these rates!! The worst fine dining/steak restaurant in the quad cities hands down!! I would've undoubtedly been happier to have taken Culver's home. Sad...
For you Terry, the server, and Ashley FBM. Food: Salmon way overcooked. READ.. Everything else was satisfactory. Good stuff which is why 2 stars. Service on the other hand started out great until our waitress had a phyco moment. Yes Terry, talking about you. When my diabetic wife ordered a lemon drop martini and received it, she sent it back asking for sugar around the rim. Terry, like me, had stated concerns about the sugar because of the known diabetes. Wife insisted and she went on her way to serve. The inevitable arguement between my wife and I was brewing as I expressed my concerns. With full disclosure, I unfortunately have a naturally loud voice which carries. Needless to say, after being avoided for the longest time, she finally came over when we needed the check. I left just to find out that I wasn't allowed back into the casino. The reason for that was because our waitress was scared of me (she said to wife) for expressing my concerns to my wife. Why were you scared Terry? Don't take your issues out against other people. I never... never, did or say anything to create question to my loyalty and concern for my wife. I never did or say anything to bring concern to others. I praised the food and service so why? Of course, the food and beverage manager didn't care about the facts after the fact since she never came over to talk with us. There's an underlying issue management needs to address .This is what you get for $150 dinner. Whatever you do,v don't get into a debate over dinner because this can happen to you Summary; Not one person come to talk to us before the shocking surprise. Guarantee I won't drop another $2k in that casino again. Smh... and we will be hesitant to revisiting this establishment. We both disappointed. If you read to the end, kuddos..
