Service has been slow recently. Seem short staffed. And painfully loud since expansion. Easy to fix with sound absorption panels. Won't go back during prime time due to noise as well.
Food was really good. Our server was good as well. Food was a little slow coming out, but they were busy. Very busy. Worst thing about this place is the parking.
It's really unfortunate because the interior is very nice, they have a great menu and the food is generally pretty good, but the service is terrible. The owner was talking to a friend at the bar instead of helping, and the owner's wife was wandering around, but only two tables had their food. It's difficult to get drinks refilled and wait times are always excessive for food, regardless of the day of the week.
Food was pretty good, the vibe was a little off. Not sure if it was the lighting or layout but wouldn't hesitate to go back for a business or family meal. Probably go elsewhere for a romantic meal.
Once we told the waitress we didn't want drinks things went downhill. Service was terse and aggressive. The soup was four noodles in a broth that had separated with a few slices of lettuce for character. Recommended for anyone who loves soup from a can that's been reheated. My salad was a convincing replica of a bagged salad, full of white chunks yet so light on dressing I wasn't sure there was any initially. The blackened chicken was excellent. For $30 a head this has been the worst restaurant I've been to since moving back to Michigan. Definitely avoid.
