Indeed, gone are the traditional Macaroni Grill touches (singers in the dining room, waiters who write their name on your paper table cloth , the meat display upon entry, Italian lessons in the (dirty restrooms, dimmed lighting for mood, etc. . Prices are still the same, though! As we entered the restaurant, to the right was what appeared to be a chef 's table but it was filled with more than dozen plated dishes with plastic covers waiting to go to tables (we then saw them being uncovered and taken to tables . This didn 't inspire us to have faith in the quality of food we were about to receive. The host sat us (a party of two at a large table for five because service was very slow that evening but he knows that server and he 'll be quicker. Weird! The server was great and while it did take a longer than normal time to get our food, he kept us in drinks and bread and we were happy. The food wasn 't outstanding but it was good and warm and we left happy with our meals. Everything besides our server and the food, though, was just weird from start to finish. In an area of town with an abundance of restaurants there is no reason to ever return.
Food is always hot and fresh. Serivce was friendly and timely. The bread is not very good as it is dowey and they good really use a splah of Italian dried herbs on the oil and vinegar.
Terrible, Terrible way of notifying customers with reservations waiting in bar area, their table is ready..Horrendous system..To just holler out a name in a crowded noisy area is completely unacceptable…
Our server, Bree, was wonderful! Very pleasant and always had a smile on her face even though she was very busy. She made our experience great!
Loved the Lobster Bisque and Chopped Italian Salad!
