Joseph, the charismatic and skilled bartender with an array of tattoos, not only mixes incredible drinks but also adds a touch of handsome charm to the place. I had the pleasure of trying the River Wild and Mountain Meadow cocktails, and they were nothing short of exquisite. Each sip was a delightful journey of flavors, beautifully crafted by Joseph. The attention to detail and presentation of the cocktails was impressive, making it an experience to remember. Fifty6° is a must-visit destination for those who appreciate a combination of natural beauty, exceptional mixology, and charming service. It 's a bar that leaves you with unforgettable memories and a desire to return for more.
Really good food at an odd hour (2:30pm on a Sunday) where the other restaurants aren’t open.
Food was just OK. The salmon sandwich was super sloppy. The burger was just marginal (doubtful it is actually a Wagu grade burger). Kids mac n' cheese was a huge portion but was lumpy. We went to the stove house and had a much better experience the day before.
Had a really awful experience at this bar yesterday with my friend and her bridal party. A group of us went in to get seated and told our group of ten was to large to be sat in the mostly empty lounge. No problem we thought, we can just split in 2 smaller groups and be sat separate. We were told that it was no different then if we were one group so we left. We walked to the restaurant part of the lodge which was less than 10 ft away to try there, and the staff was shocked they wouldn’t let us sit at the bar. They told us to go back in and sit in separate groups. So we did. The same guy walked to our separate tables and addressed both tables to tell us we would be billed as a group of ten. Again, we don’t care, we just want to enjoy a drink and then be on our way. He walked away so he and his blonde co worker could loudly talk about how much they hate serving bridal parties which the bride was unfortunate enough to hear. With tears in her eyes, she removed her bridal crown and asked us if we could leave. We ended up staying because it was hard to find a place to get drinks anywhere else during the busy weekend. It was awful. The guy even paid for one of the brides drinks after realizing that this was probably going to end in a review. Guess the drink didn’t work.
Drinks!! All about drinks. They have a bar. This is the bar. But you can also get food here. They serve outdoor. The protal doesn't always serve the outside seatings/ patio but now that the weather is warmer, they do. I've done pretzels to wine and beer during my stays. And some brunch. Last I tried was in May,2021. They still weren't doing outdoor dining yet. Only take out or dine in if you want. But since I have my pup with me, I often do patio dining when they allow. Usually they will accommodate if they are not busy. The views are great. Usually and almost always chilly here and also super windy out. But views are great. Brunch/ breakfast is a hit and miss. But the view helps! And it's convenient and you don't have to leave the lodge. So it's good when you're staying here!
