Tried it twice, I won 't go back. The ribs were dry and overcooked, hard to swallow. None were falling off the bone as they are when we cook them at home, and all were tough with very little fat left if any. The restaurant itself is fairly new, and I went here first when they first opened. And I guess it was intentional, but the interior looks like a cheap dive with ugly un-appetizing colors and some how looks old and dingy. The service was slow and not very friendly, the first time, the second time the server was very friendly but the kitchen took over 40 mins to provide our meal. The rest of the sides and such were very low quality. This restaurant really needs to up its game in the kitchen a LOT if they ever want repeat customers. The flavors and cooking in general is just awful. I didn 't like any of the things I tried, sides included. I can 't suggest anyone go here for good bbq or anything else.
I've had the pleasure of eating at the original location in Tuscaloosa Al a few times! I recently relocated to Kennesaw! Imagine my surprise when my hubby and I was crushing through the neighborhood and I saw the sign! Yep, I came back the very next day! I suggest you order the combo! I order the ribs and sausages with beans and potatoes salad!! EVERYTHING was just as I remember, delicious!
I so wanted to like this place but I was very disappointed. The one positive is the lady was so nice. The downside; the food was awful. I just moved south. I got the combo plate with 1/4 chicken, chopped pork, baked beans, and coleslaw. The barbecue sauce was awful; too much vinegar and too much heat. My first bite of pork was almost all fat and my third bite had a bone. I asked if the coleslaw was sort of sweet and sour and was told yes. It was all vinegar. The chicken was good but the skin was not crispy. The baked beans were delicious. Sad it only came with bread and not biscuits or coleslaw. Will not be going back.
I had a craving for some barbecue, and Dreamland hit the spot. The Chopped Pork plate with french fries and Brunswick Stew was excellent. Their BBQ sauce was outstanding. My waitress was very professional, and kept my Sweet Tea glass full. She even offered to get me a To Go cup too. I was very satisfied. I highly recommend Dreamland in Roswell.
