This is not offered any more since the remodel, but we were fine with being restricted to a rather short menuit was for her birthday. Sadly, the service was poor. After waiting over 1/2 hour for our entrees, after finishing a salad, on a very slow day, with maybe 20 customers in the entire restaurant we 'd had enough. It was over an hour after being seated and we were still waiting! The building renovations are nice, but the new menu and poor service (the waitress never informed us how slow it would be, and didn 't show up after dropping off our salad and drinks) were a real disappointment. We decided to leave and just pay for the salad. They apologized, saying they were short-handed but this was inexcusable for the prices and how un-busy they were. The locals were missing, during hours when they had the buffet, when it was always busy. In short, they have fixed a non-existant problem by going high-class and lost us (and probably many other locals) as customers. We would reconsider if they brought back the buffet or some more moderately priced items.
The food as well as the service were bad. We waited 20 minutes for a hello and they weren't even busy. No wonders why either. The manager was rude when he came over too. Save your !!
Wow! This place has it all. AMAZING Hawaiian food. But the reason to go is the picturesque view of the San Diego coastline! We spent hours watching the downtown lights reflect on the water.
I have great memories of the Bali Hai, I have been going there for 20 years. Food still is great , Happy hour has plenty of options and the view is Beautiful!!!!
Food is overrated and over priced. My waitress was amazing though there’s a view , so there’s that 2/10
