What a desappointment ! As much as the night at Château de Rey and his breakfast the next day were quality, the New Year's Eve evening remains an enigma: was there a Chef in the kitchen? Because at 80 €/person we still expect a meal imagined and provided by a Chef with care in the presentation of the plates like the beautiful photos which display their website , finesse in terms of flavors and with a well-reasoned wine list... in short, a festive meal! Instead...the finesse of the oyster was spoiled by a mustardy flavor, a vulgar slice of white bread accompanied a poorly deveined and flabby foie gras, the pieces of leg of lamb were well cooked and tasty but served with 2 potatoes presented in aluminum foil ! , the sheep's tomme was served with homemade butter ! where the bitterness dominated. Not forgetting a list of around ten wines with half unavailable. A bathroom radiator in the back and another at the foot to compensate for the 16°C displayed in the room. Clearly, nothing was up to par! And the kindness of the manager and the waitress were not enough to make up for a missed evening. We'll put that down to the previous year...2022. We spent New Year's Eve on New Year's Eve and were very disappointed by the single menu offered at 80 euros per person and which did not reflect what we expected as well in terms of dishes offered only by their presentation ... the only advantage is that we were staying next door ... it is all the more disappointing that when you see the restaurant's website the images of the dishes are rather appetizing .. .. Too bad .... and I confirm that I remain on the impression of half empty glass ..... And happy new year anyway!
