This was a club I belong to meeting place. A bit of a drive for me but good to know if you are in that area. We had a small meeting which held 12 of us comfortably. Waitress was prompt in getting beverages to start, menus were already on table but at no point did we feel rushed allowing time to eat and have our meeting. Nice variety of mostly various breakfast items like different types of omelets, various fruit platter, combinations. The food came in waves but no one person waited a lengthy time before their order came. The food was hot when it should have been and cold like the fruit platter) when it should have been. The menu was in French that I understood) however I did not ask if they had an English menu. Our waitress kept coming in appropriately to make sure all was in order. You would think very small restaurant with unfortunately construction going on but many tables and booths to accommodate a heavy clientele. The downside is the parking. Lots of small spaces so if you have a larger SUV you may need to park a little away. In addition to the restaurant it is part of a small strip mall and a pharmacy so lots of activity. This was my second visit and the food this time just as good as first time. They are part of a small chain in the Province of Quebec
We were staying at the Sheraton across the road. We chose to walk across every morning and have breakfast there. It was busy but we did not have to wait long. The food was good, large portions and I feel really reasonably priced.
By arriving before 8:00 am we were surprised by being offered the discount menu. So we enjoyed full breakfasts at a very cheap price. Even without that added benefit, it was a great, friendly place. Not surprising that this chain has grown quickly over the past few years. Food so good, staff are well-trained. Atmosphere is happy. Recommended.
I was in Saint Hyacinthe last week on business and stopped in at Chez Cora for breakfast one morning. I've been to this location before and the food here is good but a little pricey. Many of the Cora's restaurants in Ontario I use to go to have closed up, I can't help but wonder if their price point has anything to do with it but I doubt the company will figure that out, they seem to have greed for overpricing their food in a wrapper that their menu is a healthier choice, now true or reasonable. At any rate, this time I had something I've not noticed on the Cora's menu in the past, it was called the Festin Gargantua. This breakfast has everything on it including 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, creton spread, baked beans, a blueberry pancake and roasted potatoes and toast. It was very good very filling and not even remotely healthy. If you don't mind over priced menu items then by all means come to Chez Cora for breakfast.
