We went to dinner on a Saturday night and waited approx. 30 minutes they wrote to us when our table was ready so that we could walk around while waiting. Landry's is located within the Union station between the aquarium and carousel/wheel. Our waitress and all the other staff we talked to were great. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the crabs/spinch dip, the child's Mac cheese, the filled Mahi, soup and deserts. Very recommended!
We arrived at the opening on Sunday after visiting the aquarium, so we had no waiting time. Service was great. Waitress kept glasses full and she brought our kids food immediately when it was ready what I really appreciated. I ordered the oyster-po boy. It was huge! I would definitely get it back. My husband ordered the fried plate. Overall food tasted great.
We were right before closing and didn't know if we were to sit at all. Very grateful that they were sitting at us when we were just turned off from the restaurant next door. Our server Josh was great, especially with my children. Food and drinks were perfect.
When we plan a trip to St. Louis for our anniversary, we looked for restaurants that took reservations and earned anniversary. What I ran into was that this kind of restaurants on Sunday after lunch closed and or closed all day Monday. I chose Landry because A. They were open and B. They reserved. Typically, I would not have chosen a chain restaurant when visiting a new city, but in this case. I will first say that getting to the restaurant is interesting because it is right in front of the aquarium under the awnings. We went from our hotel, but I immediately noticed that I had a hard parking because of the location. There were many obstacles and street blocks to bypass. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and sat quickly. I almost wonder because of all the room in the whole restaurant we set the second table in the door in the middle of 3 other parties. I guess they wanted to keep the server tables together. But the tables were close and you could hear conversations without trying to hear It was unpleasant. I ordered a glass of wine and Calamari and was told we would get bread. We never did. The Calamari was very good and the peppers cooked with it were a nice touch. My main dish was surfing and lawn and my husband got a kind of Seafood Pasta. I thought my meal was very good and was perfect portions of everything that came with him. The pasta of my husband lacked the taste of the sauce and was similar to any pasta dish in any chain restaurant throughout the country. We were offered a dessert menu, but since our anniversary the waitress brought us a bread pudding with a candle. It was a very nice gesture, but I wanted something else and I would like to pay it. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. The restaurant was clean and looked nice. We sat quickly with our reservation and had a nice night in general. I'd go back, but maybe not for a special occasion.
This was my first visit to Landry?s Seafood House and it is a very beautiful decorated restaurant?.. The food not as much celebrated. I had the shrimp scampi and it had NO FLAVOR AT ALL (ALL CAPS). If you look in the photo there doesn?t appear to be ANY SEASONING on this dish at all?..!!!!!!! They do offer a happy hour and the prices are reasonable for happy hour. Not sure if I would want to spend more than just happy hour prices. Food flavor needs IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY. NowI will say the RASPBERRY LEMON DROP MARTINI that I had was Amazing. Everyone?s taste buds are different but mine were not interested in what Landry?s was offering. I would suggest try it and you may like it.
