Contribuer aux commentairesWhile on vacation in Montpellier, we came across this restaurant while walking and decided to give it a try.
My wife and I found this café last year and we always make sure to stop by whenever we are passing through Sale. The food is delicious, satisfying, and addictive. Our go-to meals are the stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls, Croatian meatballs, and scalloped potatoes baked in a creamy sauce. The service is consistently friendly and attentive. The decor has a classic European café vibe, reminiscent of those found in rural Australia in the 1960s.
Today, we had lunch at this restaurant and each ordered a small plate for $14. We let Marsha, who we assume is the very friendly lady, choose our dishes for us. We enjoyed rice, potato bake, incredibly tender lamb, a vegetable bake, lamb stew, and the standout dish was the cabbage roll. We sampled each other's plates and shared the delicious cabbage roll. The food was all pre-cooked and kept warm in a bain marie, so there was no wait time, which was perfect for us on a busy day.
Drop in for breakfast , lunch or to pickup a meal for dinner on the way home after work. All home cooked by a wonderful lady who can cook up a storm. Friendly atmosphere and a comfortable setting
Marsha cooks her Croatian cuisine fresh everyday she's been doing it for years takes pride in her work the food is excellent . The only thing better is the more than friendly service always a complimentary homecooked pastry with coffee or tea she can't do enough for you this lovely lady hope she never retires .She doesn't advertise she won't need to once you try the food you'll keep coming back .Rather than going to the more popular hip venue next door for lunch give this place a try you won't be sorry .
