I was thrilled to discover that a new Irish bar had opened in place of the closed Irish chipper, as we were passing through the area. The service was excellent and the curry chips were delicious, despite the slightly runny sauce. Contrary to some reviews, I found the portion sizes to be just right. Everyone in my group thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we all agreed that the prices were very reasonable. It's great to see a new and nice bar opening up in the valley.
Called in here to meet friends for lunch. Staff were friendly and it picks up a busy lunch trade, particularly tradies. We ordered 2 meals, both terrible and barely edible. I ordered the special of the month which was pork and prawn pad thai. At $25 not a cheap meal in comparison to the other lunch items on the menu. There were absolutely no prawns in the dish so it was falsely advertised and the pork was chopped up bits of pork fat that were barely cooked. Way too much sauce and was so salty it could barely be eaten. The noodles were over cooked and it was a sloppy mess. My partner ordered a burger which again was over cooked and barely edible. We didn't have time to complain so left very dissatisfied and won't be back. Perhaps the traditional Irish meals are the way to go, but I would stay away from anything else!
After hearing the Irish chipper had closed I was only delighted to hear this new Irish bar had opened as we were going to be passing through - the service was lovely
This is a great pubs to add to the nest in the valley I recommended strongly although it's only been open one day
