Unfortunately, the drinks were not very good and were expensive because we missed happy hour. Both of our drinks did not taste great and seemed poorly made, which made the $15 price tag hard to justify. We will not be returning, as we believe The Nolen is a better and more affordable option.
This restaurant has definitely seen better days. My wife and I visited this past weekend and were disappointed by the dirty and wet flat surfaces. It seemed like the cleaning staff had taken the weekend off. The bar was also sticky and covered in goo, making it unappealing to touch. The bartenders seemed oblivious to the mess in front of them. My wife had a bad experience in the ladies' room, describing it as worse than a restroom in a public park, with no toilet paper available. We used a toilet liner instead. While this place used to be nice before Covid, we won't be returning until there is new management in place.
The drinks are expensive and not very impressive. The rooftop pool area, which should be reserved for hotel guests, is taken up by non-guests who can just walk in off the street and take pool seating, leaving paying hotel guests to stand in the sun.
Just a hang out spot while on vacation. Rooftop bars are better in Chicago
It’s a cute little rooftop bar with a pool, but probably better suited for hotel guests
