Cappy's - San Antonio

The service was excellent. Bri, waited our table and she was superb. So superb, we did not comment on the meal truthfully. FYI, bring your own steak sauce. The presentation was very nice. The Market Salad was fantastic. The Wedge Salad was terrible. The blue cheese dressing tasted like watery cottage cheese and the vinaigrette was like soy sauce. I could not even eat half. Both of our cuts of meat were very rare and not to order. I requested medium rare but it was well seared and the other cut was also rare when we requested medium. Over the experience was pleasant but I found the food to be pricey for what we were served and the lack of preparation in what we expected to be a fine dining experience by all accounts. We went hoping to go to Cappy’s, we thought the sandwich shop was open (it’s their sister restaurant, right next to them, we thought it was all the same). They closed that day but we decide to try their brunch menu. We ordered fried chicken we bit into it blood poured out from the center. Totally disappointing. Fried chicken temp needs to always be checked before serving. They did offer us something else but we lost our appetite after that.
