We made a reservation to celebrate my sons birthday. I am not sure why we needed one, as at the time of arrival, no one was there. We went in and were asked if we had a reservation. They were not taking anyone without a reservation. I said yes, they did not check to see if we had it, so they did not see that we were celebrating a 21st birthday. We were seated and brought water. The bartender was our waitress. She made 2 smoking mai tais. The drinks were $40 each and they did not have the correct parts to make the drinks so they just threw stuff in the glass and around the top and said sorry, that is all I got. We ordered. $25 for a hamburger. $5 extra for frozen onion rings and a tiny portion at that. The food is terrible. We were the only ones there. They brought out 1 plate and then 20 mins later the rest of the peoples dinner. Most of us did not eat half of the food. Our drinks were never refilled. Others entered the restaurant and were told that if they did not have a reservation, then it would be a 1.5 hour wait, with only 2 families in the restaurant so people were just walking out. We wanted to order the Kong ice cream with fireworks for my sons birthday and we were told that the city doesnt allow fireworks so they can not sell the ice cream. This was just another disappointment after the other. When the bill came, they add on a mandatory (regardless of party size) 20% tip. 3% goes to the restaurant for supplies, 17% is spread across the kitchen so the waitress told us that she does not get all that tip money and so we need to make sure to include an additional tip that would go straight to her only. Do not bother with this place. It is not a great experience, the food is terrible and do not celebrate a birthday here as it is not worth it and you do not get the experiences that you see online.
Dirty tables, Dirty floors, Poor service, and a not very welcoming environment.
The Sugar Factory is always a good time. Despite the pricing you will get a lot of food so I recommend sharing. This time we had Scott as a server and he was Amazing and offered great customer service. Would recommend!
Great food. It was a little quiet but it was also early. They did celebrate a birthday while we were there and I could tell it would be a fun and exciting place when all the tables are full and everyone is celebrating! I would definitely visit again!!!! The restaurant and kitchen area that I could see was clean and smelled great. There was an odor outside the bathroom doors but nowhere else. They had fragrance things inside the bathroom, maybe to mask that smell in there, but it was still there outside. Super fun experience. Loved all the smoking drinks!
