This place is a unassuming little spot in the middle of an industrial area in the Midway, with a lot of car shops breweries. Lots of street parking in the neighborhood. I wouldn't necessarily stop and linger here..., but if you want Polish comfort food, this is the spot!!! $15 for 6 pierogi, topped with onions and bacon (I held the bacon and with sauerkraut and dill sour cream on the side. Just the pierogies themselves were good... but with the dilled sour cream they were FREAKING DELICIOUS. The sauerkraut also was may be the best sauerkraut I ever had. Homemade I guess! So there's not tons of atmosphere, but my food was hot, fresh, fast and FREAKING TASTY. and they don't have a lot of customers in this area, so I'm good paying part of the rent and labor, even if maybe the pierogies could be a few dollars cheaper. Definitely worth coming over here to taste! (they also had a butternut squash pierogi special today, but I wanted to try the old school potato and cheese on my first visit!
The potato and cheese pierogies were delicious! Great saurkraut and loved the fun decor inside. Would definitely stop by again to try more.
I came to the establishment and I asked about the menu. I asked the guy behind the counter what he recommended and he seemed irritated about my question. He said everything on the menu is good. I said what do people normally get, he pointed at the menu again and said everything is good. I was unfamiliar with his type of food, so I asked him to tell me more about it and he told me to read the menu I said I'd rather hear from you with a human to human interaction. He pointed at the menu again and told him to read it. I said let me take a picture and show my coworker. He interrupted me and said they have limited availability. At a certain point, he came counter and told me to leave his restaurant. I felt like he was about to get physical with me. I would not recommend anybody on the basis of disrespect to the customer.
Walked in and the worker looked at me like I was a piece of trash. Ended up not ordering food because of the bad energy. I go to school around the corner and most of the people I talked to had similar experiences. Even the teachers recommended that I don't go here. Not my loss.
Terrible place buddy asked for their top recommendation gave attitude and kicked him out for literally nothing not sure if this place is up still but now it's a open business don't recommend anyone coming if you are visiting or even if you are from San Diego i see why the place is always empty.
