Contribuer aux commentairesI dined at Solunto on January 31, 2022. The food was great, and the outdoor heated seating under a canopy was pleasant. It was a nice change dining outdoors in 59F weather, especially after coming from 24F in Chicago. We were served by Juliana, who was attentive. We enjoyed glasses of Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina. We shared a plate of Insalata Di Polipo, a delicious salad with artichokes, black olives, potatoes, and tender octopus. The Cioppino was very good, with lots of seafood, but I wish I had asked for it to be spicier. My partner ordered the Fusilli Genoese, which was good, but he only wanted pesto without chicken, dried tomatoes, etc. I could have passed on dessert.
Wonderful bakery. Finding real Italian in the predominantly Mexican realm was a luck. Another surprise: beer selection and its quality completely unexpected combination. Thin crust white pizza excellent. To summarize: we spent a wonderful hour there and wishing you the same. Buon appetito!
Solunto was open when we needed it for a late dinner, and the Italian food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating and polite even though we were there a little past closing. Would definitely go again!
Thank you for making my birthday enjoyable and satisfying. It was very kind of you to surprise me with a delicious meal at Solunto. The restaurant and staff never fail to impress and make me feel like part of the family. I had such a great time that I forgot to mention the thoughtful birthday surprise in my previous review. Now I'm headed back for more of their addictive pizza. Watch out!
The restaurant is situated in the heart of Little Italy. I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood dish I ordered: the white wine sauce was light and not overwhelming, allowing the subtle flavors of the seafood to shine through. The seafood was fresh and delicious. I also recommend trying their draft beer.
