So this is a four star place for me for two reasons. Let's start with the good: I am definitely a regular at this spot, because their street tacos, fajitas, and more are very delicious they have decent happy hour specials, including on their margaritas their restaurant is indoor/outdoor and dog friendly, always a plus Why they lose stars: I went one time and tried to get a margarita, and the server told me that no one at the bar working that day knew how to make margaritas so I couldn't order it. That seemed weird. I genuinely don't like any of their salsas. They generously provide you with three different kinds with chips when you sit down to eat. Green, regular, and a smoky dark red. The heat and flavor varies significantly every time I've tried them, so I know they're fresh, which is great! I just personally don't like any of them because I feel they are missing that clean, acidic flavor I've come to expect from a restaurant salsa. They are salty and spicy and smoky.. lots of onion and garlic... but where is the lime? The cilantro? the service is usually great, but I have had interactions that were not super friendly with servers that seemed rushed or like they don't normally work serving and were thrown into it.
Friday 11/17/23 around maybe 10:45 or 11 am. Guy working drive through. I ordered one taco. REGULAR. Ive been here for years and so many times I cant even count them on my hands. Although my experience hasn 't been the best it 's been convenient and close enough for me to come back and keep giving them a chance but after this day I will never . This guy was extremely rude working drive through. When I ordered I clearly told him NOT THE STREET TACO. And he still managed to hear what he wanted. When i went to the window he charged me ONE street taco which I realized based on price. I still wanted to confirm so I asked if he was sure it wasn 't $6 something due to the difference to which he right away gave me a horrible attitude. Which then prompted me to defend myself and tell him that I did order a regular and he might have misunderstood me. He proceed to keep talking back making it seem like it was my fault and I was wrong. To which I replied why are you talking to me in that way and he said because you 're saying I 'm wrong Which again, he misunderstood me. If he never came at me that way I wouldn 't have reacted back but I have never experienced someone so extremely rude and unprofessional. If you do not like working here. LEAVE. Do the owners and guests a favor cause nobody wants to pay money to a business with employees acting like this. I went to another taco shop with way better service and food and cheaper. Never again.
I 'm always looking for authentic Mexican food and from what I 've had so far this place has it. I 've only been twice but I 'll definitely be going back and trying more items on their menu. I had to get the caldo de res both times, the serving was just right, had all the vegetables (potatoes , chayote, carrots, cabbage and corn) and plenty of meat with a side of rice and your choice of corn or flour tortillas lime and condiments. The carne en su jugo is very tasty and very authentic as well, made with bacon and topped with queso fresco and avocado. Their salsas are very good also and their adobada tacos are so so good!! Love the side of grilled onions and chiles they give you with your tacos. Everything tasted great and like I mentioned very authentic which is not always the case when going to a Mexican restaurant.
You're just like an abusive lover that I keep coming back to! When you're good, you're great. But when you're bad, your meat taste like fabuloso. And then I find a 10x deep fried blackened french fry in my super chips!!! We are officially over! Don't call me, I'll call you. Maybe. Probably not.
