I've been coming here for years. Usually it is a great time to visit 1/25/23. After spending $120 on ribeys and drinks, Kubiak Barkeeper cut me...
The evaluation is not based on food since we have never been served. Strongly recommend not to sit at the bar for good service, as the bartender often seemed past...
Welcome to Flavor Town. Vibes Town. The best restaurant in San Diego. Well, really it's a bar grill; but the food is superior to most restaurants I was. Some people come here to drink, but I just come here to eat. Can beat prices and quality of ingredients. And they have a wonderful grill that not only cooks well, but offers a fun inviting experience. And you get to prepare it exactly as you like it, what the food feels special in a way. If you do not cook it the best of your first time, you can learn a lot from observation; there are some quite adept barbecues that have developed over the years of coming here. I learned to grill my rolls, tomatoes and onions in this way and melt the cheese on my burger. Make sure you do not burn the garlic bread (or the burgers rolls, if you decide to grill them)! just 1-2 minutes to cook. Moreover, it is better to boil a steak than to overcook it because you can always grill it a little longer. The ribeye/filet are better than most steakhouses, you want to cook them right! This place has been here since 1950. A bracket on the map, which hopefully continues to test the time.
At first I was super skeptical and didn?t understand why I would enjoy paying to grill my own food at a restaurant. I decided to try it out and I?m so glad I did. First, the drinks were great. I myself had a beer, but my girlfriend had a Manhattan and they were great. When I was ready to eat I was happy they had a lot of seasoning and sauces to add to the meat. The meat was very good quality and savory. The prices are well worth the visit. I definitely can?t wait to take my family here and I can?t wait to go back. This is easily one of my new favorite spots in San Diego.
