Lucignolo Pizzeria

We come here everytime we visit family in San Gavino. The food has always been delicious, the staff are great and has a great atmosphere. I would recommend a dish, but they are all excellent!

The food was good, it's good to see there are some restaurants that do something different then the usual. Prices are good, just I believe the service was too slow, we have been waiting too long between the starters and the mains. Generally it's a good restaurant

We arrived in San Gavino Monreale after a long tiring day travelling for the wedding of our friends. This was to be our only free evening. We had beers at a lovely small cafe and then ventured into Lucignolo. It was every bit as good as Trip Advisor told us. A Friday night and it was just getting warmed up. Our waiter spoke great English and helped us with the menu. While we were not intending to have the house special, he recommended the antipasto in the pizza bread shell and it was all beautiful. Small morsels of joy! Then of course we had some pizza! We had a pizza with fresh Rocket and they were happy for us to share it. We also had desert, a panna cotta and a tiramisu. We drank Sardinian wine which was excellent. There was no rush as there were plenty of late guests and it must have been 1pm when we left. As we left we met Luca and Suzy, the owners, and of course could not leave without a night cap/digestive. They are lovely people and having travelled a great deal, their English was perfect and they were good fun to talk with. They clearly all work really hard to deliver a fantastic restaurant for all to enjoy. Thanks so much to you all. X
