Gateway Food And Liquor - San Jose

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant with a very helpful and friendly staff! The wine and spirits selection was outstanding, and the customer service was welcoming and accommodating. I originally just wanted a beer, but ended up leaving with so much more. Highly recommended!

Awful experience here with very shady business practices. Came here to buy some high end liquor and was told by the clerk, Anything over $100, you have to pay cash and we don 't accept credit card. (1) This was a straight up lie designed to try and take cash to avoid taxes. I 've never heard of not accepting credit card over a certain dollar limit.(2) This kind of business practice is actually illegal, which will be reported to both the BBB and IRS/FTB.I typically like supporting small businesses, but this one will not be one of them given such greed and dishonesty. Unbelievable what some unscrupulous stores like this one will resort to these days.

Great variety but little expensive as compared to other stores like Safeway things like doritos

?????? award-winning selection of beer, wine and spirits. I went out a beer and went out with Bourbon and wine. The wine selection had to find some older bottles thT. Aman and Ho's crew are so helpful and generous. I can't say enough nice things about her.

Fast and attentive service, without any clingy or hovering staff members.
