Right across from the light rail which is cool if you are doing to take public transportation. Hop off on Paseo de Tiempo and bam. Anyways, the real reason for this review. Food was decent. Not great. If you are going with people who aren't into seafood, choose another option. This place is almost strictly seafood with very limited non seafood options. The bread they bring out prior to yourmeal is FANTASTIC! Honestly the best part of the dinner. Fluffy/crispy sourdough. Just like the kind you eat clam Chowder out of a bread bowl type. Super good! Then we ordered oysters. A full dozen. Quite possibly the WORST OYSTERS I'VEEVER HAD! super small! I can't believe we paid $38 for them. I was going to send them back but I didn't want to be rude but check out the photo. Absolutely pathetic. I ate the Almond Crusted Seabass which was almond sprinkled. Notnecessarily a crust. The best thing about my dish was the bench players (garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, tomatoes, and balsamic sauce). Wife ordered the Stuffed Chicken Breast. Chicken was definitely stuffed and the risotto wastasty. That paired with the mushroom marsala was delicious. The other members of our party had the Crab Stuffed Salmon which they enjoyed. Plating on all items was exquisite. The adult beverages were a hit in our group particularly thecosmo and the pomegranate margarita which are not pictured. My wife orders pomegranate margaritas anytime she gets the chance and knows her pom margs so give it a shot.
The pros. Food was amazing. The outside scene was beautiful, and the staff were very accommodating for our size party. The cons include a few discrepancies in the bill. There were cocktails ordered and paid for at the bar ahead, but on our receipt, a child?s drink added that should have been included in the price of the kids meal, the comp birthday icecreams were also charged, and an extra appetizer that was brought back to the kitchen as an unordered item, too, made it onthe final receipt. The upside is all corrections were made except the bar drinks discovered later. Still standing by for our promised gift receipt. I?d still recommend this restaurant for classy food, drinks, and atmosphere, andunderstandably we had a large party. Just keep an eye on the final receipt and fyi gratuity already included for our party of about 12 for over $200? ouch
I've come here a few times for brunch. It's generally my go to place to eat before catching a SJ Broadway show. The food is delicious, and the service is wonderful.
We ate on the patio, which was our choice, but that darn bus came by every minutes. So it was a bit loud and distracting. The salad was very ho-hum not worth The entrees were very nice and a generous amount of food, except I got the trots when I got home. What was in that sea bass? Then the check came and they charged us a benefit and equity charge at We asked the server what this charge is for and the server said it’s to help pay for benefits. We were shocked that we were not told about this charge before we sat down or when we made the reservation. After I got home I researched this and the truth is, it’s not to help pay for benefits it’s to help the restaurant. The money does not go to the workers or the server it goes to the restaurant. If I had known this I would not have made this reservation. And they add it to the bill so you can pay the gratuity on top of that. What a shock
Always perfect at Scott’s. We ordered all appetizers to graze on and each selection was different and tasted great. Nice warm evening to enjoy their patio dining
