We sat and ordered we both ordered the #1 Beef combination pho with. I ordered a smoothie to go because I didn't want it to melt while I ate my hot soup. Of course she brings it before our food : I was just whatever about it not a huge deal. Cleanliness is my top priority and the utensils were disgusting. The food soup itself had a nice taste. We had to ask for the greens and the meat was bad quality mostly fattty and thin. They also started mopping and putting up chair 30 min before closing and it just felt like they were rushing us and ofc she let us know 5 minutes before closing. We got here around 8:10 which I get could be too close to closing, but now I know not to come here... Last thing is when my bf was halfway into eating he found a hair in his bowl... they don't wear hair nets so idk I can't say for sure if came in there at time of serving but it didn't look like his hair .....
I ordered 2 combination beef pho and bun rieu from DoorDash wine we have credit each month. They were both delicious! They only have large and extra large sizes. But the large seems like a small size. It doesn't have a lot of toppings. But each item was about $14. I was able to substitute the round rice noodles for the thin pho rice noodles. We wanted to substitute the thin rice noodles with fresh wide rice noodles, but they don't have it. Wished the bun rieu had more crab cake pieces. There were only two.
My favorite pho restaurant of all time. This is my best friend I's spot and the food is so good she gets jealous when I take other people. I usually order the fried shrimp as a starter it comes with sweet chili sauce (amazing) and then rare steak pho. Everything is seasoned well I like the atmosphere it's very chill. I also enjoy the Thai Milk tea, it's not too sweet but just right. I'm a regular here so I always enjoy the manager coming to speak to me. Overall, this is a solid spot doesn't disappoint.
Come here if you like Bun Bo Hue. Pho Seven was recommended by our hair stylist who is from Da Nang so I thought it was worth trying. My wife and I had BBH twice at this place within the last 2 weeks and both times were excellent. The broth has intense flavors of lemongrass and spices and even comes with extra chili if you like it spicy (we ordered to-go both times). The noodles were firm and chewy. The meats were good and even included fried pork patty (unfortunately no tendon). My wife is very picky about her Vietnamese food and she says the taste is quite authentic to the central region. Another BBH place I like is An Nam in San Jose which is always busy but has a distinctly southern (sweeter) flavor profile compared to the comparatively balanced broth at Pho Seven. So far, the only negative for me is that you don't get vegetables such as basil or banana blossom but that is a minor grievance I imagine most people would not notice. Overall, Pho Seven is a hidden gem of the East Bay and has much better BBH than any place in Oakland that I've tried so far. I hope they can continue to maintain their exceptional quality and flavors.
