One of the great things is that you can really just choose as many different things on the menu as you want. I've gotten the premium and the regular before and they're both fantastic. The premium is really if you just want to add items one through eight. But the regular Menu is exceptional as well. If you're going for Korean food, you have to try the Galbi. I really dig the jumalook and bulgogi as well. I love the banchan. We always get extra kimchis and wilted greens. The fresh salad is tasty too. Don't forget the Sundubu spicy tofu soup for a real treat! Oh and the service here is fantastic. Attentive and eager to bring you more. It's all you can eat! But pace yourself each meat dish is about a pound of food.
Manna is a super solid KBBQ restaurant. There's tons of seating. Once you get there and pay, it's bottomless meat. Certain meats are hard to tell how high quality they are, but others are slamming! Lots of sauce to make the all taste good. If you're looking for a spot where you can bring a large group and eat your faces off, highly recommend this Korean BBQ joint. I've been twice to 2 different locations. Both solid! Needed a nap after.
Visited this location twice. Here are the highlights of my review: Service: Although they do accept walk-ins, make a reservation beforehand especially when arrivind during peak hours and days. We noticed during our visits that you will be seated much faster than the walk-ins. Reception was polite and the service, which includes the food turnaround was above average. 5/5 stars Food: You have two AYCE (all you can eat) options, didn't note the pricing however the more common meats will always be on the lesser priced option. In summary, your common AYCE meats (i.e. bulgogi, pork belly, beef belly) were good. The Manna steak (flat iron) was a tad chewy for my taste. The food at this AYCE was not bad but didn't stand out either. Our sides were rice paper, corn cheese, steamed egg (must try), japchae style noodles were good too. Beer was ice cold too. 5/5 stars Overall: Being that it's an AYCE BBQ joint, this is one of the more cleaner restaurants that I've been to. Tables and floors weren't sticky and the service to prep the table for next patron was fast. Ventilation was good too, the smoke doesn't circulate around the restaurant like some AYCEs. I would return when in the area.
Average all around. Hadn't eaten here in a year or so and came by for an early dinner. There are two menus and the one with more meat options was about $30 per person. Although service was decent, the meat quality was significantly different than the Manna in Mira Mesa and Convoy. For example, the chadol (thinly sliced beef brisket) was super chewy and not my fav. I would also skip the rosemary pork steak next time and get the manna steak. All the other meats were flavorful and tasted delicious without any sauce. I noticed they had a lot of sauces in squeeze bottles but you should try the meat plain first to know what quality it is. For sides, the fishcake with jalapeno and japchae tasted good, but some of the banchan were obviously stored in the freezer! The macaroni salad, bean sprouts and the spinach side were almost icy. The rice paper wraps were also super cold and hard. The kimchee was disappointing too. We usually ask for refills on the sides, but didn't want any! I appreciate people refilling waters and brining napkins when needed. The store is also pretty clean. I am surprised it gets so busy (maybe due to the lack of similar food in the area). Personally, I would rather drive to Mira Mesa or Oceanside when I am having a Korean BBQ craving.
The food was awesome. Although the meat from the steak was a bit hard. The service was good and wish that they would ask you if you would like veggies and have pictures of what they offer as for someone who doesn't come often could see what else they could order. The ambiance was clean and with acceptable noise. I think the table are way too close to each other. They need a bit of distance and privacy from conversations, sickness as I hear someone cough right next to our table. Overall experience was good. I would recommend it. Remember that you only have two prices premium and standard. The standard is what my daughter and I got and for two we paid $75 for lunch with everything you see on the pictures.
