Basil - San Miguel de Cozumel

We ate at this place because the place where we originally wanted was closed. we ordered the basilikumsalat and the shrimp ravioli with Chipotle cream sauce. both were amazing! above all the pasta. the sauce! they also brought us an salsa macha and spit strawberry salsa that were from this world. pic the sauces included (it is a little creepy because we immerse in them) the type that served us was very nice, could be the owner. we were the only ones at the place that are also on covid and eating too late. but it should be filled! a very beautiful surprise.

Surprising and grateful. fresh pasta before you. obvious care in any court. beautiful people, tasty crooked and sweet. go to an amazing price to see.

The service was welcoming and patient. the food we had was amazing. fresh pasta right in front of them! we had 2 pasta dishes and everything was very good and delicious. the portions were generous and the price was correct. they can see that the workspace was immaculate and clean. I can't say enough good things about this jewel as trying to you will love it!

Beautiful mix of taste in the wine paste I thoroughly enjoyed; actually phenomenal. the salat my wife had was excellent and delicious for the last bite. handmade pasta. eat fresh made as they wait. will return.

As a frequent visitor to Cozumel, and other parts of Mexico, I understand there are times when your taste buds may want something other than the fresh, incredible Mexican food that can be enjoyed there. While spending some time in Cozumel my wife and I came across this cute little eatery called “Basil”. It’s a beautiful walk from the touristy area and one we highly recommend. You will pass colorful homes and of course, some of the most beautiful people in the world. Speaking of beautiful people, that is what will be waiting for you at Basils. We were greeted with ear to ear smiles from the most genuinely nicest people we have come across in a long time. The gentleman, who no doubt was the owner and chef, took his time explaining the menu. If you like “fresh made to order food” this place is for you! Even the pasta is made right at the shop. The ingredients are super fresh and cooked to perfection. I had a pasta with an assortment of vegetables. The veggies were excellently prepared yielding a perfect, mouth watering meal. At the present Basils has limited seating. If I am not mistaken there are four to six seats making it perfect for a couple. But don’t let that stop you from having the best pasta on the island, (or quite possibly the world! Take out is easy and painless. The Chef and associates are on hand ready to help you with your order. This is more than a review. It’s a sincere “thank you” for the two memorable meals we enjoyed. Thank you for your kindness, patience and of course, excellent food. Basils has become “part of our trip to Cozumel” and we would not think of visiting Coz again without grabbing another delicious meal there. Be the “hero” in your group and bring everyone to Basils!!
