This is our second time at Coco's and it's just as wonderful as it was two years ago when I had the pleasure of eating there. Romantic Italian music in the background, beautiful illuminated garden and fresh Italian pasta, which might be better! The salads, bread, pasta and sauces are beautifully prepared and the service is wonderful. Another reason to visit San Sebastian!
I have known the owners, Coco and Walter, for ten years. Walter worked on an ocean cruse ship for many years and managed several 5 star restaurants onboard. The food in this quaint bistro is beyond quality. It is melt in your mouth divinity. The cook is never off and the home made quality comes through every time. Since I have been close to them for several years, I am treated like family. But, I have seen Coco engage with every guest as if they are also family. It is a treat to be able to visit this romantic spot for a candle lit dinner, or for lunch surrounded by Coco's garden which is filled with the perfume of her flowers. If you go to San Sebastian del Oeste, you have got to go here. Don't blink...go!!!
Outstanding! Food, service, setting, wines, hospitality! Be careful scheduling closed Tues and Weds, and does not open until 1 p.m.
AKA Montebellos Restaurante Italiano. We stopped in late in the afternoon with another couple to enjoy a bottle of wine. You find yourself in this beautiful garden setting, simple and romantic. I'm sure the evenings must be delightful here. Coco was a little rough around the edges but after our friend insisted that she sit and eat her lunch with us, she let her guard down a little and seemed to enjoy our company. We ended up ordering a pizza which was excellent. Her husband Walter who is from Italy and also the co-owner and chef, also chatted with us a bit and invited us to taste his homemade fruit or herbal aperitifs. They were amazing! His newest one is chocolate, a MUST try. Next time we visit San Sebastian, we will definately visit Coco and Walter again.
