My wife and I have recently moved to Sandbach so decided we would book Sunday lunch at the Bears Head. It exceeded our expectations, the food was absolutely first class and the staff where so friendly and helpful. The pub is very old with a great ambience and atmosphere, we were so impressed that before leaving we booked a table for 2 for lunch on Boxing Day! Also the prices where excellent considering the standard of food. I would recommend the Bears Head.

There was nothing great about our visit, the dining room was cold and no atmosphere. I asked if they could put a log on the fire because I was so cold, which she did and then she bought our side plates without washing her hands. The food was disgusting infact it wasn't edible the first time and was even worse the 2nd time they bought it. The fish was overcooked and the batter was not edible, when you cut inside the batter, the fish was none existent and there was nothing but hard lumps of yellow hard batter. The Assistant Manageress made us feel as though it was our fault that the food was so bad. The seabass was so overcooked and so burned around the edges, the vegetables were hard and undercooked. We will never visit The Bears Head Brearton again Parking: Parking was ok
Lovely cosy pub with a good choice of food and friendly staff. We were served Kirstyn who was attentive, polite and very welcoming. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
