If you need a sandwich before hopping on the Autotrain or otherwise, Salvatore's is the place to go. Absolutely fantastic sandwich. Wonderful blend of flavors from their bread to the various meats and toppings to accompany your sandwich. Highlyrecommended.
My first experience in Salvatore’s and I was blown away! the super friendly staff, chris and justine when asked what is the sub they are known to be recommended to immediately the classic italian for a cold sub and Italian steak for a hot sub, based on their recommendation we went with the Italian. the sandwich was delicious, the brot and the selected meat cuts were supplemented by their garlauchaioli, which was produced daily in the house. 5 stars and would recommend everyone.
Soo to start. as a native chicagoer I know my subs and aromen! a bite in the Italian sub of salvatore begins with shock. then amazed to build and finish with joy, how the aromen from the brot to the beaten my palette excite. you just have to try! my only complicity is that the sandwich is so good that I always forget to make a picture of it before I bite it and I have to go out winter garden for the delicious tasty!
I know this is a lousy thing to say, but maybe I had the best sandwich of my life. at $8 per sandwich it's expensive, but. it is also incredible and a Huuuge part. boars head meat, everything is proportionate, so there is not too much or too little of each to dive, and they stack everything on the roll so that nothing falls (the roll is amazing btw.) and they arrange it so that they get everything in every bit, what I thought was just a thing that I had seen on food shows, but not really happened in real life. they also brushed the top of the bungalow with olive oil and Italian spicy (which may have been only my special sandwich, but also that might have been dear to detail.
