This restaurant advertises itself as a Tequilaria, so we decided to try a flight of Tequila because, "when in Rome." Our server, Lisa, was not only beautiful but also efficient and kind, making excellent recommendations. She informed us that the restaurant had opened about a year and a half ago during the height of the pandemic. The building is nicely decorated and conveniently located at the corner of Sam-Cap Road and Rabbit Rd, halfway between the resort communities of Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. Overall, we had an excellent experience. The server was great, the food was fresh, hot, and delicious, the location was clean, and the restaurant was easy to find. While the prices were slightly above average for everyday dining in a regular community, they were what we expected for a touristy resort area, and we were prepared for that. We will definitely be returning to 400 Rabbits for some of the finest Mexican food.
I don't usually write restaurant reviews because we eat out frequently, but I felt this place was exceptional and deserved recognition. This restaurant served the best Mexican food we have ever tasted, with high-quality ingredients and exceptional attention to detail. I cannot fully capture the experience in words. Make sure to visit this hidden gem when in Sanibel Island, FL. Our waiter Oscar was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations based on our preferences. Thank you to 400 Rabbits, the staff, and owners for an amazing evening of food and drinks!
The food at this restaurant is top-notch! They offer a wide variety of appetizers that are all made from scratch with passion. The atmosphere is lively with live music and a bustling crowd. The restaurant is spacious with a high ceiling adorned with wooden accents. There is plenty of free parking available and the staff is friendly. If you happen to be on Sanibel Island, make sure to pay them a visit and enjoy a great meal!
A dear friend had been raving about this place for over a year. I had the great fortune of driving down to find out for myself. The drinks were on point. The guac was fresh w/ a nice chicharones surprise addition, the tacos were amazing! Definitely one ofmy favorite food experiences from my trip. Will be back for more on my next visit!
I really liked this place. Great atmosphere and friendly people. They had music playing Monday night and it was very island vibin?! Food was delicious, not a huge menu like some places. Definitely would get the Guacamole (watch it being made fresh onsite). Margaritas were delicious and we loved the street tacos.
